The controversy between Red Bull and the FIA ​​over the Ferrari engine case characterized the two weeks preceding the Australian Grand Prix, which was later canceled due to the Coronavirus. The Austrian team, initially supported by Mercedes, which then withdrew from the issue, in the words of Helmut Marko wanted to have its say both on this problem and on the strength of Red Bull, which according to him is capable of annoying the reigning champions in 2020.

“We only got a very superficial statement from the FIA ​​– Marko told the newspaper Austria. But what different can you expect given the connections with Ferrari? In 2020, I think we will be the first challenger to Mercedes and ahead of Ferrari, they lack speed. Our car is aggressive, with huge potential and our Honda engine has made progress, but the favorite remains Hamilton, he has the best overall package. I hope to be able to race as soon as possible."
