F1 | Hamilton case, Leclerc condemns Piquet: "Attitudes that can no longer be tolerated"
"We must continue to strive to ensure that Formula 1 welcomes diversity," added the Monegasque
Through his social channels, Charles Leclerc expressed his dissatisfaction with the "racist" statements made by Nelson Piquet against Lewis Hamilton, underlining how discriminatory attitudes of this type must be removed not only in sport in general, but also in life everyday.
The community, nowadays, can no longer tolerate positions of this type, given that they are in bad taste and disrespectful towards others. As for Hamilton, Leclerc expressed maximum solidarity with the English driver, highlighting how the latter has always been respectful not only with him, but also with all the people within the paddock.

“I have known Lewis since I arrived in F1 and he has always been respectful not only with me, but also with all the people he met inside the paddock,” commented the Monegasque driver on social media. “This behavior should be standard for everyone. The words expressed towards him must not be tolerated. We must continue to strive to ensure that Formula 1 embraces diversity, becoming an increasingly inclusive sport. Racist, as well as discriminatory, language and behavior must be removed not only in our sport, but also within society."
