F1 | Carlos Sainz Sr.: "In 2024, Ferrari was close to the Constructors' Championship, but this year it struggled."
"It's not our problem, nor Carlos's," said the Williams driver's father.
Ferrari had a dramatic 2025, sportingly speaking. The Prancing Horse team was unable to replicate the previous season, where it had fought until the final race with McLaren for the Constructors' title, finishing sadly in fourth place in the overall standings without scoring a win.
Among those who were part of the 2024 team was Carlos Sainz, whom the Prancing Horse team “sacrificed” to make room for seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton.
A choice that, judging by the results achieved so far by the English ex-Mercedes driver, has not paid off, unlike the Spaniard who has had a positive championship with Williams, reaching the podium on two occasions.
Discussing Ferrari's difficulties, Carlos Sainz Sr wanted to cut to the chase by underlining that these problems no longer concern his son who is now focused on his experience at Williams.
“It's not our problem, nor Carlos's,” Sainz Sr. said in an interview with ElDesmarque. - In 2024, Ferrari was close to winning the Constructors' Championship; this year, they've had some difficulties. But my advice, and so does Carlos, is to focus on their own things."
Sainz Sr. then added: “This world is complicated enough without having to worry about others. Let people draw their own conclusions.”
