F1 | Camilleri on the reopening of factories: “Ferrari is ready”

Ferrari will not be caught unprepared when the Covid-19 emergency is overcome. The CEO of Maranello declared it Louis Camilleri in a video conference held in recent hours with the shareholders. The Cavallino stable, which has suspended production activity until May 3rd in compliance with government provisions, meanwhile continues its social commitment to the fight against coronavirus by creating valves for pulmonary respirators and fittings for protective masks.

"Our decision to distribute the dividend demonstrates our confidence in the future and is a reward for our shareholders in these difficult times”, declared Camilleri, quoted by Corriere dello Sport. The CEO of the Rossa did not miss a reference to the literature: "Nobody knows exactly when the factories will reopen, but as Shakespare says inHamlet 'If it doesn't happen now, there will come a time when it has to happen.". Being ready is everything. Rest assured that Ferrari is ready".

Three new directors were appointed at the meeting: Francesca Bellettini, Roberto Cingolani and John Galantic.

The president's note was not missing John Elkann who underlined the successes achieved by Ferrari in 2019, not only as regards Formula One: "A record year with extraordinary results. I would like to remember the SF90, our first hybrid and the 10.000 cars we built, but also our victory in Monza after nine long years of waiting as well as the triumph of the 24 Hours of Le Mans".
