F1 | Button thinks about returning

After a sabbatical year and only one participation in the grand prix of Monaco to replace Fernando Alonso, the 37-year-old Briton is seriously considering returning to racing.

Button, winner of the world championship in 2009, spent seven seasons with the McLaren and after announcing his retirement in 2016 he declared that he no longer had a passion for competitions.

There are rumors about his alleged move to the American championship IMSA, where he would like to run:

“There are a few options, I would seriously like to do a full season. But I'm still not sure it will be IMSA; I would also like to race at Le Mans but I don't think it's the right time yet".

Interviewed in Japan, Button clarified that he doesn't miss the formula 1:

“I miss racing even though I have to admit that I'm no longer in love with motorsport. Maybe a year was too long, I want to run and have fun. I want to hear the engine, hear the roar. I want to drive something that has more than 600 horsepower, I grew up with that.".
