F1| Good first match for Wehrlein, Ericsson forced to retire

After a two-race stoppage, the German driver returned to excellent form and crossed the finish line in eleventh position; Unlucky race for the Swede instead.

Disappointing race for Marcus Ericsson who had to abandon the race with just two laps to go due to a gearbox failure. After the excellent start, the safety car came on at the most inopportune moment:

“After the restart I was eighth but the other cars had new tires and overtook me, so we made the pit stop and with the super softs the times were good but by then I was too far away to catch up with the others. In the end, the gearbox failure forced me to retire".

pascal wehrlein he said he was very satisfied with what he did in the race, starting from the start:

“It was a difficult race because we decided to make just one pit stop and the result is the best of what we could do. It's a shame not to have taken the point just for one position but I'm already thinking about the next race".
