F1 | Brown: “Everything is going according to plan
On Alonso: "Formula 1 is his priority"
The executive director McLaren he admitted that he is particularly confident about the season that is about to begin, given the notable progress of the winter work.
The new partnership with Renault seems to be progressing well, although it is still early to draw conclusions:
“Everything is going well with the design of the car, we passed the crash test and everything is going according to plan. We will present the car on February 23rd and we will go on track for the first time on the 26th. The simulations got us where we wanted to be last year, sometimes they don't work when you go on track but last year they gave positive feedback so I think that we will have a consistent season".
About Fernando Alonso, returning from 24 Hours of Daytona and from the official nature of his presence not only at the 24 Hours of Le Mans but also to the WEC aboard a Toyota, Brown added:
“His priority remains Formula 1, so we are open to other activities because we know that F1 will not be compromised”.
