F1 | Brown: Teams need to support Liberty Media

The executive director of McLaren, Zak Brown, advised Formula 1 teams to support the work of the new owners.

The revenues of the formula 1 and consequently the prize money awarded to the teams this season has dropped compared to previous years, to the point that there are some teams who are considering leaving the championship to dedicate themselves to other categories.

In this regard, Zak Brown urged people to remain calm:

“We knew there would be some investment, but some people are a little too nervous. They haven't even been here a year, they spent on something that had some anomalies and we know that you can't heal a broken leg in two weeks. I believe that the direction is the right one and that the intentions are also good. It still takes some time, we need to give them support, work with them and perhaps be less critical and more constructive".

Brown then praised what had been done by Liberty Medium, to make Formula 1 more spectacular:

“There's a lot of fun, it's a great time for Formula 1, TV ratings have gone up, there are more spectators at the circuits, there are new owners, there is a strategic vision”.
