F1 | Briatore close to returning to Formula 1?

In fact, according to what was declared by the Spanish newspaper Marca, the entrepreneur Flavio Briatore could return to Formula 1 with a role in Alpine, thus replacing Alain Prost.

A source very close to the French team would have confided that the return of the former Renault team principal is difficult but that often in Formula 1 unlikely things can come true.

“Alain Prost had a mainly symbolic position and now that position is vacant, even though they reiterate that Alpine does not need a consultant. If Briatore were to return he could occupy that role, not as boss or in team management.".

Briatore's links to fellow Italian and Renault CEO Luca de Meo, and of course Fernando Alonso, are thought to strengthen the chances of this happening.
