F1 | Brawn on Ferrari's Hungarian GP: "Difficult weekend, they can get back into the fight at Spa and Monza"

In his analysis after the Hungarian Grand Prix, the twelfth round of the 2019 Formula One World Championship held last Sunday at the Hungaroring, Ross Brawn also discussed the difficulties encountered by Ferrari on a circuit not suited to the technical characteristics of the SF90.

In fact, the two Reds of Sebastian Vettel and Charles Leclerc, who finished the Hungarian race in third and fourth place, however suffered a heavy gap from the top: a full minute behind the Mercedes of winner Lewis Hamilton.

"It was a difficult weekend for Ferrari. It was known that this race would not suit the Ferrari car, but not to the extent we saw it, especially in the race. The car was so far from Mercedes and Red Bull in the third sector times”, underlined the sporting director of the Circus.

Brawn, completing his analysis, added: “The summer break has probably come at the right time, because I am well aware of how the pressure can increase on Ferrari when things are not going well. It won't hurt to take a breather and recharge your batteries. The aerodynamic requirements of Spa and Monza could put Vettel and Leclerc back in the fight, considering the efficiency of their cars".
