The Finnish driver admitted that the new car should adapt better to his driving style than the 2017 one.
Valtteri Bottas has landed in Mercedes to replace Nico Rosberg; the undertaking was not the simplest but through ups and downs, his season was more than satisfactory.
“Although it was very fast, the car was less than perfect for me”, commented the driver from Nastola interviewed by a Finnish newspaper.
“But from what I've seen of the new car, I think everything is going in the right direction”.
However, there are still notable differences between him and his teammate, the four-time world champion Lewis Hamilton:
“Everything I have learned in the past will help me in the future”, concluded Bottas.
