F1 | Bottas: “Frustrating to come second with such a small gap”

He tried in the last corners, when he had gotten close enough and when the time available to attempt the lunge was running out. But nothing could Valtteri Bottas, against the checkered flag and against a Sebastian Vettel who didn't give up today and managed the tires like a master. The Finnish of Mercedes he thus had to settle for second place, behind the Ferrari, but still ahead of his boxmate Hamilton. Here's what he said into the microphone of David Coulthard, who arrived on the podium to collect the first impressions of the protagonists of this GP.

“Today the closer I got, the more red I saw! We had the harder compound and I knew that Sebastian would start to suffer towards the end. And it went like that, but it still wasn't enough, despite him trying to make every corner and every lap perfectly."  

“Coming second with such a small margin and with a good pace is definitely frustrating, but I will certainly try to go and catch him next time.”
