F1 | Bernie Ecclestone arrested in Brazil

It's been a turbulent twenty-four hours for Bernie Ecclestone. In fact, the former owner of Formula 1, who in January 2017 sold the Circus share package to the Americans of Liberty Media, according to what Reuters reported was arrested on Wednesday after he was illegally caught with a gun while he was at the Campinas-Viracopos airport.

The Brazilian police, who noticed the undeclared firearm in Ecclestone's luggage during the ritual checks, took the 91-year-old English manager into custody. The latter claimed possession of it, but he did not believe that the object could have been in the suitcase at the time. Ecclestone subsequently paid bail and was released, thus being able to fly and reach Switzerland.
