F1 | Berger: “Vettel situation? He finished a few races to make an evaluation”

According to Gerhard Berger, the few races completed by Sebastian Vettel at the wheel of Aston Martin do not allow us to make a precise assessment of the actual potential of this new "combination".

Interviewed by the Austrian press, the former McLaren and Ferrari driver spoke about the placings achieved by the four-time world champion in Bahrain and Imola, highlighting how it is premature to talk about failure at the moment, given the few kilometers covered on the track by the teams. Berger believes that the German, despite the pressure, must continue to work on his form, so as to create the right feeling with the team and car.

“Today he would have been better off taking a sabbatical,” said Gerhard Berger. “But it must be said that drawing conclusions only after just two races is wrong. Too little time has passed. I am sure that he is putting his maximum effort into trying to change the situation for the better. Sebastian just needs to regain his form and Aston Martin work on the technical level. Then we could make precise assessments."
