F1 | Baku denies the hypothesis of a change with Miami: "We have a contract and on our part there is no intention of giving up the Grand Prix"
Rahimov: "The rumors will die down when the calendar for 2019 comes out"
di Roberto Valenti25 May, 2018
Present in Monaco for meetings with Chase Carey, Arif Rahimov underlined how Miami's entry will not penalize the world championship appointment in Baku. In recent weeks, in fact, there have been very insistent rumors about a possible abandonment of the Azerbaijani city, but according to what was reported by the GP's organizing director, Baku is very happy with its Grand Prix and has no intention of leaving its place at the inside the world calendar.
Here are his words: “We have a contract until 2020 and it can only be terminated by mutual agreement. For our part, there is no intention of giving up the Grand Prix. The rumors will be quelled next month, when the first draft of the next 2019 World Cup comes out."
