The meeting held last Tuesday in Paris on engine regulations in force since 2021, also saw the participation ofAston Martin. The British car manufacturer, interested in a return to Formula 1 as an engine supplier in the near future, was satisfied with what emerged in the discussion between the manufacturers and Liberty Media: “Aston Martin attended the recent FIA meeting and was deeply engaged through its comments regarding the potential solutions proposed” – declared ad Motorsport Andy Palmer, CEO of Aston Martin.

However, Palmer underlined how Aston Martin's possible return to Formula 1 is closely linked to the size of the financial commitment: “We are encouraged by the indications that have emerged and will continue to study a practical solution that could involve Aston Martin by 2021. The key will, as always, be linked to how development costs are controlled. A vital measure to make the participation of independent engine suppliers possible”.
