The arrival of Mike Krack as team principal is a further step for Aston Martin, increasingly ambitious after the first year of transition with the new name. Lawrence Stroll, head of the British group thus welcomes the Luxembourg manager and does not want to set limits, confirming the main objective of the Silverstone team, which is to win the world championship within the next few years.
“Winning in Formula 1 means bringing together the best efforts of all the key players – Stroll said. I'm talking about drivers, engineers and mechanics, and Mike is in the perfect position to do that. All the ingredients we need are gradually coming together. Mike will play a leading role, reporting directly to Martin Whitmarsh and leading the technical and operational functions. Our goal is to fulfill our noble ambitions."
