F1 | Aston Martin, Stroll disaster: “I wanted to avoid the accident up front”

What a disaster for Lance Stroll, who in Hungary, together with Bottas, was the architect of a real strike at the start, going to catch Leclerc and Ricciardo and ruining his and his colleagues' race. For this reason the two were penalized and at Spa they will have to serve five positions on the grid, perhaps a little short for what they caused. Of course, they gave us an incredible race, but the mistake is really gross.

“Congratulations to Seb and the team for their second podium of the season, everyone in the team has worked hard and I'm happy for them – Stroll said. As far as I'm concerned, it's really frustrating to have to retire so early in the race. When I saw the accident up front I decided to take the inside line to try to avoid the brawl, but I stalled while braking. As soon as it happened, I knew I wouldn't be able to make the turn because the asphalt was too slippery. I did everything to avoid contact, but unfortunately my race ended there. Now we're going on a break to regroup and return stronger to Belgium."
