F1 | Andreas Seidl satisfied with McLaren and its two drivers in Austin

Andreas Seidl, team principal of McLaren, can be satisfied with his team: after difficult years, the Woking team is close to confirming itself as the first force in the championship behind the top teams. A good basis for 2020, thanks also to the driver pairing of Carlos Sainz and Lando Norris.

The two managed to lift the team's morale after the Mexican result and pocket another precious ten points.

"After a poor performance last Sunday in Mexico, we needed to redeem ourselves here in Austin, so it was nice to secure another 10 points, vital in our fight for fourth place in the constructors' championship – confirmed Seidl – teamwork today was fundamental to the overall performance: from the mechanics, to the engineering team here and in Woking and to the drivers, who both took to the track with high level performances throughout the weekend".

And this pair of drivers confirms themselves not only as winners on the track, but also on social media: the two have started a dance challenge in the car, involving fans all over the world. A close-knit couple, capable of promising even more entertainment for the coming seasons.

"After two weeks of travel it's nice to return home – concluded the team principal – we will recharge and prepare to end the season in style in Brazil and Abu Dhabi. Finally, congratulations to Lewis Hamilton. Six world drivers' championships is an incredible achievement".
