Alpine is in no hurry to decide the name of the driver who will join Esteban Ocon starting from next season. After Fernando Alonso's agreement with Aston Martin and the Oscar Piastri affair, two situations that have shocked Alpine, the French team is evaluating the best situation for the near future.
As admitted by Alpine CEO Laurent Rossi, the seat of the French team is currently the most coveted one in the Circus, which is why Enstone will take all the time at its disposal to choose the solution best suited to its needs.
"We are in a comfortable position for the co-driver. We're in no hurry Rossi said. In all modesty, we currently have the most coveted place in the paddock. People wait for us before making a decision".
