F1 | Alpine, Ocon: “I feel half Italian, I grew up as a pilot here”

Esteban Ocon is particularly attached to Italy. The French pilot, in the statements published in the Alpine media, remembers with pleasure his training period in our country, even considering himself half-Italian. His karting period and his time with PREMA were fundamental in becoming the driver who has even won a Grand Prix in Formula 1 to date. It will be interesting to see the behavior of the car in Monza, given that the A521 appears to be very competitive with a I unload.

“I have always liked going to Italy – Ocon said. I spent a lot of my life here during my Formula 3 career with PREMA and much of my karting training since I was a child. I speak and love Italian food, so I feel like I'm half Italian. Monza is a fantastic circuit: as a team we have several certainties and we aim to be competitive. Our low downforce package has proven to be very strong, so hopefully we can get off to a good start on Friday and have a solid base to refine."
