F1 | Ocon on the day at Silverstone with the A521: “Good sensations”

Positive feelings for Esteban Ocon at the end of the filming day session carried out by the team Alpine on the track of Silverstone. Looking forward to the three-day pre-season test Bahrain, the Frenchman got behind the wheel of the A521 for the "canonical" 100 kilometers useful for advertising filming, an aspect that allowed the team to verify the correct functioning of all the mechanical and electronic components present on the car.

Despite the cold and the fog of the morning, Or with he managed to complete the entire work program, gathering useful information that the team will be able to exploit for the correct setting of the single-seater. Note that Fernando Alonso he did not take part in the session: the Spaniard, at the suggestion of the doctors, preferred to "spare himself", postponing his official debut on the single-seater to March 12th.

“Today was really fun,” said Esteban Ocon. “First of all I want to underline how nice it is to be back driving on a track like this Silverstone. The car was pleasant and in general we managed to complete all the work program we had set ourselves. Due to the fog we had to delay the first run, but once we overcome this difficulty we took to the track without any problems. I would have liked to drive more than 100 kilometres, but unfortunately this is the limit."

About testing in Bahrain Instead he stated: “I can't wait to get on track for testing. The conditions will be much warmer and we will have the opportunity to collect a lot more data. All in all it was an interesting day and I can't wait to find out more about the car. The livery is fantastic and I think we have the best graphics on the grid. It's really beautiful!”.
