F1 | Alpine, Laurent Rossi: “Fourth place in the world must be a springboard”

Alpine certainly had a positive season. The French team based in Enstone took fourth place in the constructors' championship, also quite clearly beating McLaren, decidedly less competitive overall in this 2022 year. Despite the many problems experienced by Alonso, which favored Ocon in the internal challenge, the gap with the Woking team was wide.

“I want to offer my most sincere congratulations to the team for reaching fourth place in the constructors' championship after a very hard-fought season – said Laurent Rossi, CEO of Alpine. We knew it would be challenging from many points of view, not least the regulatory changes, we started from a completely blank sheet of paper. I thank everyone at Enstone and Viry for developing the car so well so that we can make great progress during 2022. Fourth place was our goal, everyone in Alpine wants to use this result as a springboard for next season, we want to stay on track to the top teams. Special thanks to Fernando for his results, we wish him all the best for the continuation of his career”.
