F1 | Alpine, Esteban Ocon out in Q1: "I don't have many answers, but I'm not giving up"

Esteban Ocon will have to prepare for another uphill race: in qualifying the Frenchman replicates the exact result of last week, placing himself in seventeenth position. Very complicated moment for him, fresh from renewal, considering that his young teammate Fernando Alonso had the pace to easily get into Q3 – an involuntary impediment by Vettel stops him in fourteenth position. The objective now is to do better than last Sunday for Ocon, who finished the Styrian Grand Prix in fourteenth position.

"Our pace didn't improve over the weekend and, unfortunately, we find ourselves in the same position – said the Frenchman at the end of qualifying – we've tried some new solutions, but there's still something we're missing. I think my lap was good so, at the moment, I don't have many answers, but we will continue to think and find solutions. I will focus on doing the best job possible and helping the team move forward. I will fight with all my strength tomorrow to recover some positions, we won't give up".
