F1 | Alpine, Budkowski: “Alonso sometimes works magic in the race”

Fernando Alonso, who returned to F1 in 2021, continues to amaze. The expert Spanish champion, after a somewhat complicated start due to the adaptation to the Anglo-French single-seater, is having a noteworthy performance, with some high school "numbers" that have characterized his races, especially in terms of it's about duels with colleagues and the pace shown. His defense against Hamilton in Budapest has already gone down in his history, a very precious action which decisively contributed to Esteban Ocon maintaining a useful advantage to win the Hungarian GP.

Marcin Budkowski, current CEO of the Enstone team, spoke about the team's good season and how precious Fernando's contribution to the cause is:

“It's a very exciting season, with several winners and many teams on the podium. Ocon won his first race in F1 and Alonso put in magical performances in several races. We want to increase our advantage over AlphaTauri and maximize the package available, the fourteen GPs in a row with points are a result that testifies to the goodness of our single-seater. In Russia, in terms of performance, we were close to the podium. Alonso ran a fantastic race in Sochi, unfortunately it was difficult to predict exactly what would happen in the final laps."
