F1 | Alpine, Alonso on the Mexican GP: "It will be a very tough test"

Fernando Alonso absolutely wants to put the bad weekend in Austin behind him, and Mexico City will be the right opportunity for both him and the team to return to the points zone, an objective that the French team missed at COTA after 15 consecutive races in top ten. The Spaniard is happy to return to the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez, but he knows very well that the anomalous conditions could be decisive.

“Mexico is another fun track, with good overtaking opportunities and a very long straight – Alonso said. The atmosphere here is fantastic too, and the stadium section is unique in the world. I love football and that final sector reminds me a lot of full stadiums during matches. It's usually very hot, and we're way above sea level, so both us and the car will be put to the test."
