F1 | AlphaTauri, third row for Kvyat: “My best qualifying of the season”

For once the good Daniil Kvyat managed to do better than his teammate. In Bahrain, the AlphaTauri driver will start from the third row, alongside Sergio Perez, and since yesterday he immediately found himself at ease with the Sakhir Outer Track. In what could be his penultimate race in Formula 1 (Tsunoda obtained the superlicence, ed.), the Russian wants to get some satisfaction before leaving, perhaps permanently, the great Circus.

“I'm very happy with how today went, I'd say it was my best qualifying of the year – said the Russian. At the beginning everything was more complicated because of the traffic. In Q3 I had a really clean lap and I'm proud of my driving and tomorrow we will start from a competitive position. We were strong all weekend, Friday was also a good day. In PL3 I wasn't completely comfortable, so we took a step back to be strong again in qualifying. It will be important to have a solid race: traffic and tire management will make everything more interesting, but we will face everything doing our best. Our race pace seems competitive, so we hope to maintain this momentum tomorrow."
