It was an intense weekend of virtual races for everyone: teams, drivers, fans. Pierre Gasly he participated first in the 24 Hours of Le Mans Virtual and then in the Canada Virtual GP together with Simon Neil of Biffy Clyro. Two days of Esports that closes the F1 Virtual GP Series: eight Virtual GPs which replaced as many real races of the 1 F2020 World Championship, which have so far been canceled or postponed.

Now we will move from sim racing to real races: the appointment is for July 5th at the Red Bull Ring, with the Austrian Grand Prix which will finally open the season. At Le Mans Virtual, Pierre took home a fifth place finish, in the LMP category, with his teammates in the Veloce Esports team: Jean-Eric Vergne, Jarno Opmeer and Isaac Gillissen.

Having finished his commitment along the virtual version of the always fascinating Circuit de la Sarthe, at 15:00 CEST on Sunday, the French driver then moved on to F1 Esports just 4 hours later, together with the Scottish rocker, Simon Neil, guest in this latest virtual appointment.

P8 and P19, respectively, in Qualifying. But Pierre has to start P13 due to a 5 place grid penalty. It will be a race marred by bad luck: Pierre is involved in yet another crash at the start and finds himself last.

Also at the back was Simon, who however ran consistently until the end, taking home a 17th place, after two pit stops. Same strategy for Pierre who climbs up to 8th position, after a wonderful series of overtaking, but is then disqualified for too many corner cuts.

The British artist, after taking Daniil Kvyat's advice to heart, trained tirelessly and with great commitment together with our former Esports driver, Frederik Rasmussen.
