During a chat he had with his fans on Instagram, Fernando Alonso discussed his relationship with Sebastian Vettel after the remarks made by the German at the end of the Hungarian Grand Prix.
In fact, Vettel, answering the specific question about a possible return of the Spaniard to Formula One, had in all honesty declared that the topic did not catch his attention.
“What if Alonso were to return to Formula One? I really do not care – underlined the four-time world champion -. I don't think I ever liked him. It's not something that catches my attention, really."
Alonso, for his part, tried to defuse the tension: “I've heard it all, but it's not true at all, I'm sorry you think in that world. We have always respected each other and had a very pleasant relationship. Maybe it was because of the press, the situation, but I repeat that it is quite the opposite".
The Spaniard then, once again, clarified the rumors circulating about his future and his return to the Circus: “I was a little surprised by how many people talked about it. If one day I want to return you will know".
