F1 | Alonso: “I would like to fight for the title in 2022”

Fernando Alonso was without a doubt one of the protagonists of the last weekend held in Losail. The two-time world champion with Alpine hopes to be able to fight for important placings in the future and who knows, even aspire to fight for the title, taking advantage of the new regulations which could mess up the forces on the track given that all the teams will start from the so-called blank sheet of paper .

"Well, it's hard to predict what will happen in the next few years, but yes, I would like to fight with Verstappen, Hamilton and anyone who makes a good car – declared Alonso, quoted by Formula1.com – Next year I think it's a reset for everyone and it's up to us to build a fast car. It's not like this year, which was a continuation of the last one, but in 2022 everyone has the same cards so we have to play smarter and hopefully create a fast car and if we are in that position I would be ready to fight".
