F1 | Alonso: “IndyCar full time? It's not part of my plans."

While Formula is busy with the most glamorous event of the season in Monte Carlo, Fernando Alonso is in the United States where on Sunday - a few hours after the conclusion of the Monaco Grand Prix - he will take to the track aboard the Andretti team's single-seater to compete in the 500 Miglia of Indianapolis.

The Spaniard, who McLaren decided to replace with Jenson Button during the Monegasque weekend, wanted to point out that IndyCar is not part of his future plans full-time: once this experience is over, he will continue to compete in Formula One.

"It's a great ride, but it's still a one-off event – Alonso's thoughts echoed by the Spanish media – I want to continue winning in Formula One. The 500 Miglia and Le Mans are very attractive races but in a very short period".
