On a hypothetical return to the Circus: "It's too early to think about it"
Fernando Alonso the weekend of Abu Dhabi Grand Prix it won't be the same as many others. In fact, at the end of the Yas Marina race, the Spaniard will say goodbye to the Circus after 18 seasons.
"So far I think it's been a weekend, Sunday will be different when I feel the emotions more – underlined the Spaniard in the press conference – I arrived ten hours ago from Japan and I still haven't gotten into the spirit of this GP. It will certainly be special and exciting, let's hope we can do well".
Taking stock of his Formula One career, Alonso added: “I can say that I have always done my best, fighting against everything and also trying to do something for the new generations. The season with Lewis (Hamilton, ed.) in 2007 it was the best, I think that more than the victories I will remember the people with whom I collaborated and with whom I shared half of my life. The greatest success? Valencia 2012, a race that under normal circumstances I would not have won".
On a hypothetical return to Formula One in the future: “It's too early to think about it, but the door isn't completely closed. We'll see how I feel next year, maybe I'll find a way to get back but at the moment I'm not thinking about it".
