F1 | Alfa Romeo, Zhou Guanyu: “We wanted more for this race”

Zhou Guanyu's was the only Alfa Romeo to finish the race, after Valtteri Bottas retired on the second lap. The Chinese rookie lined up in eighteenth position at the start due to the penalties inflicted on him after the engine replacement; in the race he only managed to climb up to fourteenth place, thus remaining far from the points zone.

"Our pace wasn't bad and although we started from the back, due to the penalty, I have to say that it was an exciting race, with lots of action. Unfortunately, I got stuck in a train behind a Williams towards the end of the race: they were very fast in the first sector, and therefore not easy to overtake, and then in the last four or five laps I had no tires left and it was difficult to keep the pace – explained Zhou – looking at the results, we definitely wanted more from this race, but we sacrificed the weekend to change the engine; we hope to line up further up the grid in the next events and achieve good results".
