F1 | Alfa Romeo towards a partnership with Haas?
For the Biscione it would be the first step in the return to F1
One of the president's obsessions Ferrari, as well as CEO of the FCA group, Sergio Marchionne it was always about bringing back the brand Alfa Romeo in Formula 1. Requested several times by the Italian-Canadian manager, this hypothesis is taking more and more shape. The magazine cites the probable way in which the Biscione brand will enter the Circus Car picture.
According to the German newspaper, Alfa Romeo could start a partnership with the company next year Haas, a team closely linked to Ferrari. The Biscione would play the role of engine supplier under its own name, although the power units destined for the American team will remain of Ferrari origin. In practice Alfa Romeo would play the same role as Tag Heuer carries out on behalf of Renault regarding the engines supplied to the Red Bull.
This solution would allow for important sponsorship for Alfa, especially in a market like the American one. Furthermore, Auto Bild explains further: “Ferrari could put its own driver Antonio Giovinazzi in Haas”.
