F1 | Alfa Romeo, Vasseur: “We are satisfied, we must continue like this”

Alfa Romeo Racing scored points with both cars for the first time this season. If it is not a surprise as far as Kimi Raikkonen is concerned, the novelty lies in the performance of Antonio Giovinazzi, finally author of a weekend worthy of the name. The driver from Puglia, duly rewarded at the end of the race with a very inaccurate haircut by team principal Vasseur, finally obtained that much desired and absolutely deserved point, hoping it will be the start of a positive series for him and for the team.

“I am very satisfied with today's work – said Fred Vasseur. We put two cars in the top ten for the first time this year, showing our competitiveness again. Both Kimi and Antonio raced intelligently, knowing when to attack and when to check the tyres, and they got their just rewards. We could have scored a few more points, with Sainz within reach of both of us, but we can be satisfied. We have improved in the last few races, so we will try to start from here to continue our positive streak."
