F1 | Alfa Romeo Sauber, Vasseur: “Tough race, everyone struggled with the tyres”

Excellent weekend for Alfa Romeo Sauber, which finished in the points in Mexico with both Leclerc and Ericsson, thanks to seventh place for the Monegasque and ninth for the Swede. After two less than exciting races due to a series of vicissitudes, the two drivers managed to complete the race without problems, also overtaking Toro Rosso in the constructors' standings.

“It was a positive Grand Prix for us, with good progression over the weekend – said Fred Vasseur, Alfa Sauber team principal. Charles and Marcus arrived in Q3 and today they scored important points for the team and gained a position in the constructors' championship. The race was tough and everyone struggled with the tyres. Both Charles and Marcus did a great job with the tyres. We have to keep pushing until the end of the season and we will work to get a good result in the next race in Sao Paulo."
