F1 | Alfa Romeo Sauber, Leclerc satisfied: “Happy with qualifying in Q2”

Excellent thirteenth position for Charles Leclerc in qualifying for the Canadian Grand Prix, seventh round of the 2018 Formula One World Championship. The Monegasque, despite some small balance problems on Friday, managed to manage free practice 3 and the first qualifying session very well, achieving passage into Q2 for the third time in a row. A different story, however, for Marcus Ericsson, who crashed the front of his car and was out of action in the first minutes of the session.

Here are the words of Marcus Ericsson: “After a promising Friday, today was more difficult for me. In FP3 I wasn't comfortable with the balance of the car. We have done some work in preparation for the qualifying session. Initially I felt better, but unfortunately I grazed the wall and damaged the front right part of the car. I couldn't attend and it was a real shame. We have the pace to attack and we will try to do our best in the race."

Here are the words of Charles Leclerc: "Has it been a good day. We made some steps forward during FP3 and I'm happy to have finished qualifying again in Q2. The track is totally new for me, but after the first two days I feel very comfortable with the car. Thirteenth position is positive in view of the race and we will try to obtain the best possible result."
