F1 | Alfa Romeo Sauber, Leclerc: “Important point”

Tenth and thirteenth positions for Charles Leclerc and Marcus Ericsson in the French Grand Prix, eighth round of the 2018 Formula One World Championship. In fact, after Saturday's excellent qualifying, the Monegasque managed to close his race inside the top ten, gaining another point in this world championship and confirming the positive trend of the last few races. Marcus Ericsson also did well, especially in the second part of the race: the Swede showed off a solid and error-free performance, confirming the clear improvements of the car in this central part of the championship.

Today however we managed to gain another point and it was fantastic. The race was fun with lots of overtaking and close duels. We are moving in the right direction and improving our performance week by week. I can't wait to see what we can do next weekend. “

Here are the words of Marcus Ericsson: “I'm quite happy with my race. It was a difficult weekend, but we did a good job in the race. During the first lap I managed to avoid contact, but during the race I struggled with the balance of my car. In the second part of the race, however, the car improved, especially with the tyres, and I managed to close the gap with the drivers in front. The tires worked better and I closed the gap to the competitors. We also had a very quick pit stop. Now we need to make sure we continue on this path in Austria too."
