F1 | Alfa Romeo Sauber, Ericsson: “The COTA is a fantastic track, the first sector is reminiscent of Suzuka”

Alfa Romeo Sauber wants to redeem itself after the dull performance in Suzuka thanks to the technical problem suffered by Leclerc, who saw the race ruined after the contact with Magnussen and the disastrous qualifying of Ericsson, who started last after the accident in Q1 recovered without however managing to reach the points. Austin is one of the favorite tracks of the Hinwil team drivers and they will try to gain some important points for the constructors' championship.

“The Grand Prix in Austin is one of the best events of the season – Ericsson said. The city has a lot to offer, but the atmosphere here every time is fantastic, as is the track. It's a challenging circuit: the first sector reminds me of Suzuka, with very high-speed parts. There are good overtaking opportunities and the track has different characteristics, which makes it interesting. With the pace shown in recent weeks we should be able to fight for good results, I can't wait to see what results we can achieve."

“It will be an exciting Grand Prix – Leclerc said. I really like the circuit and have had the opportunity to drive here in the past in some free practice sessions. It will be interesting to discover the track in dry conditions, given that I have always driven in the wet. Going to Austin is special, the atmosphere on the track will make the race weekend exciting."
