F1 | Alfa Romeo Sauber, Bottas: “The team is in excellent shape”

“The team was in great form in Barcelona after some difficult races – Bottas said. The damage to my car floor caused by some debris during the first lap meant I wasn't able to fully exploit the potential of the C43, which is a shame given the encouraging pace shown by Zhou. I've spent the last few days working on the simulator, but I've also been at home in Finland, and I feel ready for the next challenges. I've always had fun in Montreal, we know that the car has the potential to do well and this will be our objective from Friday onwards."

“Scoring points in Barcelona was gratifying, a new motivation for the whole team after the great work done both on and off the track – Zhou said. I'm happy to be back in Canada, I have good memories of my first time here last year and I want to create new ones. We made a lot of progress in Spain, running a good race and managing the tires and strategy very well. The track here is very different, we hope to still have that type of performance. Should we be competitive from the first free practice session, we will be able to qualify in a favorable position to put ourselves in a good position to extend our points streak."
