Among the protagonists of the press conference in Shanghai, which officially opened the Chinese Grand Prix weekend, Kimi Raikkonen was also present.

On Sunday the Circus will reach the historic milestone of 1000 races and in this regard the Finn shared his first memories: "I definitely saw my first race in the 80s. I remember Keke Rosberg and maybe a blown tire in Adelaide. Obviously the undersigned always supported the Finns. In the 60s and 70s racing was more exciting and fun but also more dangerous, so there's no point going back. I think racing will always be there in some form, I don't think it will all disappear overnight".

Speaking instead of the technical aspects Raikkonen said: “There's still a lot to do, the package is solid and the machine is simple to understand. The pace is there, we need to go faster every weekend”. On the reasons that still push him to run he added: “For me it's now more of a hobby than a job. That's why I continue to enjoy it. I always try to give my best. When I can no longer do it I will follow another path".
