F1 | Alfa Romeo, Giovinazzi: “I'm focused on keeping my seat”

That of Antonio Giovinazzi in Alfa Romeo Sauber is the only seat not yet assigned in view of 2022, the only one formally still without an owner, with the driver from Puglia who is trying to earn reconfirmation from the team based in Hinwill.

Giovinazzi is not yet thinking about a future outside of F1, in other categories, focused as he is on the current season and possible confirmation.

“To be honest, for now I'm just focused on keeping my place in F1 - the words of Giovinazzi to Motorsport.com - In the worst case scenario I would start to evaluate alternatives, but for now I am focused on my work in Formula 1. Any questions about my confirmation should be asked to my team principal, Frederic Vasseur, the only thing I can do is drive well and get as many points as possible, hoping it's enough."

Giovinazzi drove at a very high level in qualifying in Zandvoort and Monza, unfortunately not capitalizing on his speed in the race, while he was the protagonist of a more difficult weekend in Russia, where he contested the entire GP in the dark, due to communications problems radio with the wall.
