F1 | Alfa Romeo, 30 laps for Raikkonen in the afternoon session

Kimi Raikkonen managed to complete 30 laps in the second free practice session alone. In fact, Iceman handed over the seat of his Alfa Romeo Racing to Robert Kubica in the morning, who however ended his hour available prematurely due to a spin at La Caixa, the new turn 10 and where he left the car in the gravel. The Finn therefore made up for the work partially lost in FP1, finishing in sixteenth position but with good sensations ahead of the rest of the weekend.

F1 | Analysis of free practice in Spain: Ferrari struggling with the soft tires, Mercedes super on the race pace

“I managed to do a good number of laps in the afternoon, which is always positive – Kimi said. I know the track very well, in fact there is only one new corner to learn. The car doesn't perform badly, so we can be optimistic ahead of the weekend. We have some work to do tonight, but it will be the same for everyone, so we'll see where we are in qualifying."

Robert Kubica

“It was nice to be back in the car again in an official session – Kubica said. I'm sorry to have ended the tests in this way: it was a small mistake that paid dearly for, misjudging the grip levels on the first lap with soft tyres, I spun mid-corner and got stuck in the gravel. However, it's nice to rediscover the feeling with this car, especially in view of next week's tests. I'm curious to try the new 18-inch tires and help the team in this important transition. It will be an interesting session."
