F1 | Turkish GP: Hamilton on pole but will start eleventh

With the new record on the Istanbul circuit, Lewis Hamilton won pole position for the Turkish Grand Prix, recording the best time in 1:22.868. In reality the Mercedes driver will start eleventh due to the 10 position grid penalty due to the endometric engine change.

Second time for Valtteri Bottas (who will start first, ed.) ahead of Max Verstappen's Red Bull.

Excellent teamwork at Ferrari. Carlos Sainz (he will start last due to a power unit change, ed.) helped teammate Charles Leclerc to get into Q3 and made Daniel Ricciardo exit Q2. The Monegasque qualified with the fourth fastest time.

Fifth Pierre Gasly on AlphaTauri, followed by Fernando Alonso's Alpine and Sergio Perez's other Red Bull.

Lando Norris' McLaren was eighth with Lance Stroll's Aston Martin and Japanese Yuki Tsunoda on AlphaTauri closing the Top 10.
