Terrible moments for Bernie Ecclestone. The mother-in-law of the Formula 1 boss, Aparecida Schunck, was kidnapped in Brazil last Friday. According to reports from the Brazilian magazine Veja, a ransom of 33 million euros has already been requested.
Very little news has leaked so far: the amount demanded by the kidnappers is to date the highest ever requested in Brazil for a kidnapping.
The kidnappers appear to have demanded payment in sterling with the sum split into four different bags. No official statement from those directly involved.
Aparecida Schunck, 67, is the mother of Brazilian Fabiana Flosi, Ecclestone's third wife since 2012.
