Ecclestone satisfied after his visit to India

According to local newspapers, Bernie Ecclestone has given his approval to the F1 circuit which will be built 40 km from Delhi despite recent international criticism over the hospitality of the Indian capital. “I'm satisfied, really satisfied,” he told journalists. “Better than I thought.
“I'm not worried about the circuit. After the Commonwealth Games, naive people told me 'to be careful', but I'm so happy with the progress of the project. “It will be much more exciting than other circuits,” said the 79-year-old.

Ecclestone then rejected accusations that the airport will not be able to keep up with the pace of F1, or that local infrastructure will not support the increase in traffic.

“The only thing missing is more hotels in the surrounding area,” he insisted.

The Briton then blames the journalists' action for giving bad publicity to the city that is hosting the Commonwealth Games, and responds by saying that these "different people" are organizing a Formula One GP.

“I will return if necessary, but I don't think there will be a need until (the 2011 GP date) in October. These people are really capable, and I don't think there will be any problem,” Ecclestone said.

Ecclestone arrived at the new Korea circuit on Thursday.
