Ecclestone ready to support Imola for the Italian GP

Controversy over the location of the next one continues to rage Italian GP of Formula 1.

Negotiations to confirm Monza have been ongoing for months, but it seems increasingly likely that Imola will be the venue for the Italian race as early as next year.

This was also confirmed by Bernie Ecclestone who, interviewed by some journalists in Baku, admitted this more than concrete possibility: "If the ACI is not happy in Monza – he declared – and they want Imola, we are happy to support Imola".

A few days ago the confirmation of the negotiation between Imola and Ecclestone by Umberto Selvatico Estense, president of the company that manages the Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari.
