di StaffDecember 8, 2011
Preparations for the 2012 US GP restarted this week. The FIA announced on Wednesday that the World Motor Sport Council has decided to keep the November date of the Circuit of the Americas on next season's calendar.
The difficulties of the organisers, who in recent weeks stopped construction work on the circuit, now seem to have been overcome.
“Mr Ecclestone received his check today,” investor Red McCombs said in a statement. Bobby Epstein, another financier of the project, added: “We are happy that Tavo Hellmund's idea of bringing F1 to Texas will become a reality.”
