Double DRS zone for the Bahrain Grand Prix
The zones from last season have been confirmed
The International Federation has made official the points where it will be possible to exploit the DRS system in the Bahrain Grand Prix, the fourth round of the 2016 Formula One World Championship. The device can only be used in two very specific points of the track and the zones will be positioned on the main straight and in the opposite straight line leading from turn 10 to turn 11. Note that each zone will have its own activation point. The detection cells will in fact be positioned before curve 15 and between curves 9 and 10.
The FIA therefore decided to confirm the zones used in 2014, confirming an approach that provided so much entertainment last year.
We remind you that in free practice, the areas of use will be the same as those in the race, obviously without the rule of one second of separation from the car in front. The same goes for qualifications.
