Domenicali: “Ferrari must look forward”

Stefano Domenicali admitted Ferrari's obvious difficulties during the Turkish Grand Prix weekend. Felipe Massa and Fernando Alonso finished the race in seventh and eighth place respectively, never fighting for the top positions.

“It was certainly a very negative weekend for us and it's a shame that we weren't able to celebrate our 800th Grand Prix in a worthy manner. We didn't have the performance we expected and we were significantly inferior to the two teams that dominated the scene here in Turkey" declared Domenicali at the end of the race.

“We were at the level of the second group of drivers – those who battled for the entire Grand Prix in just a few seconds – but we know how crucial qualifying is for the final result and yesterday we were in even more difficulty precisely in that phase. This afternoon we did everything we could: Felipe made no mistakes and Fernando managed to recover a few positions with the pit stop and overtaking Petrov. Now we have to take a step forward to make up for the performance deficit: our technicians are good and prepared, they have demonstrated it many times and I am sure they will be able to do it again, improving the performance of the F10. We are entering the crucial phase of the championship and we must do everything to face it in the best way" concluded Domenicali.
